<image:title>Home - The Moonbow Story</image:title>
<image:caption>Rainbows are often symbols of hope, recovery, and LGBTQ+ pride. A moonbow is their quieter counterpart, a rare rainbow seen in moonlight rather than sunlight. In therapy meaningful change often happens in those quieter, harder-to-see moments when things feel uncertain, overwhelming, or unclear. Instead of trying to rush past those experiences, we slow down with them and begin to notice what they’re showing you about your needs, reactions, and emotions. The moonbow reflects this idea: even in uncertain or difficult seasons, there can still be a steady sense of direction and hope.</image:caption>

<image:title>LGBTQ+ - LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Many LGBTQ+ people come to therapy carrying the weight of feeling misunderstood, unsafe, or unsupported in past relationships, families, or systems. This can show up as anxiety, self-doubt, difficulty trusting others, or feeling like you have to hide parts of yourself to be accepted. Moonbow Mental Health is a space where you don’t have to explain or defend your identity. You can slow down, talk openly, and be met with understanding and respect. J has experienced firsthand how hard it can be to find a therapist who truly gets it and started Moonbow Mental Health so others wouldn't have to go through that same search. They appreciate how important it is to have a space where you can show up fully as yourself without question or judgment.</image:caption>

<image:title>Eating & Body Image - Eating & Body Image</image:title>
<image:caption>Many people develop difficult or compulsive relationships with food during times of stress, trauma, or emotional overwhelm. Over time it can feel like food, body image, and self-worth become tightly connected. We live in a culture that sends constant messages about bodies, worth, and the “ideal” appearance. These messages can make it easy to feel like your body is something to fix or control rather than something to live in and care for. In therapy, we look at how emotions, your body, and the ways you may have learned to cope with stress or shame all connect. The goal is not to control your body, but to understand your patterns and begin building a more peaceful, less critical relationship with yourself and food. At Moonbow Mental Health, we take a weight-neutral, nonjudgmental approach that recognizes your worth is not determined by your body size or shape. Rather than focusing on weight loss, we support clients in moving away from shame and toward greater self-trust, flexibility, and care for themselves.</image:caption>

<image:title>Chronic Pain & Chronic Illness - Chronic Illness & Chronic Pain</image:title>
<image:caption>Living with chronic illness or chronic pain can change the way you relate to your body, your identity, and your future. Many people find themselves grieving the life they expected while also trying to navigate medical uncertainty, exhaustion, and the emotional weight of constantly adapting. J provides trauma-informed therapy for individuals living with chronic health conditions, pain, and other ongoing challenges that affect daily life. Therapy can be a space to process grief, frustration, fear, and the ways chronic health concerns impact relationships, self-worth, and daily functioning. Over time you’ll learn to care for yourself, make room for difficult emotions, and reconnect with a sense of self that is not defined by your health challenges.</image:caption>

<image:title>Highly Sensitive Persons - Highly Sensitive Persons</image:title>
<image:caption>Maybe you’ve spent years feeling like your emotions are “too much” or wondering why things seem to affect you more deeply than others. You may notice yourself absorbing the feelings of people around you, becoming overwhelmed by sensory experiences, or needing more time and space to process what’s happening around you. Being highly sensitive can be a strength, but it can also feel exhausting when you’ve learned to judge yourself for having big emotions or strong reactions. Many sensitive people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure how to honor their needs without feeling guilty. At Moonbow Mental Health, we provide a space where you can better understand yourself, make room for your emotions, and learn to trust your own experiences. Therapy can help you move away from shame and self-criticism and toward a more compassionate relationship with yourself.</image:caption>

<image:title>Substance Use & Addiction - Substance Use & Addiction</image:title>
<image:caption>Many people who find themselves relying on substances describe feeling pulled in different directions. One part wants connection and a life aligned with their values, while another part reaches for drugs, alcohol, or other behaviors as a way to cope with pain and difficult emotions. Over time this can create cycles of guilt and shame, leaving you feeling stuck between wanting change and not knowing where to begin. In therapy, we focus on understanding these patterns without judgment. The goal is not to shame or label your experience, but to help you make sense of what your coping strategies have been trying to protect you from and explore other ways of finding relief and support. We work with people at all stages of their relationship with substances, from early awareness to long-term recovery, and tailor support to meet you where you are. J is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and can also help connect you with additional levels of care if needed. You don't have to have it all figured out or be ready to make changes to start this conversation.</image:caption>
