Substance Use & Addiction
Many people who find themselves relying on substances describe feeling pulled in different directions. One part wants connection and a life aligned with their values, while another part reaches for drugs, alcohol, or other behaviors as a way to cope with pain and difficult emotions.
Over time this can create cycles of guilt and shame, leaving you feeling stuck between wanting change and not knowing where to begin.
In therapy, we focus on understanding these patterns without judgment. The goal is not to shame or label your experience, but to help you make sense of what your coping strategies have been trying to protect you from and explore other ways of finding relief and support.
We work with people at all stages of their relationship with substances, from early awareness to long-term recovery, and tailor support to meet you where you are.
J is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and can also help connect you with additional levels of care if needed.
You don't have to have it all figured out or be ready to make changes to start this conversation.
